Founded in 2004, the New York City Business Travel Association traces its lineage back over 50 years when The Passenger Traffic Association was launched in New York City in 1953. The PTA merged with The Women’s Passenger Traffic Association in 1974, adopted the Corporate Travel Association (CTA) brand, and prospered for 30 years. In 2004 the association embarked on a new course with a rejuvenated board of directors, a new membership philosophy, and a new commitment to the New York City business travel community under the NYCBTA moniker.
